Who we are
Aqueous UK Ltd (company number 06871259) is the data controller. We are based at The Hive, 6 Beaufighter Road, Weston-super-Mare, BS24 8EE. You can contact us at hello@aqpu.co.uk or on 01934 524 663.
What we collect
- Details you give us in our forms, by email, phone or WhatsApp: name, business name, email address, phone number, website address and the content of your message.
- Order and project details: delivery and billing addresses, artwork and files you send us, and records of quotes and invoices.
- Website usage data from Google Analytics: pages viewed, links clicked, forms submitted, files downloaded, approximate location, device and browser type, and IP address.
Our enquiry forms send your details by email to our mailbox. They are not stored in a database on the website.
We use CleanTalk anti-spam to check form submissions. For that check, your name, email address, message and IP address are sent to CleanTalk, which tells us whether the message looks like spam.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- Replying to enquiries and giving quotes: legitimate interests, and steps taken at your request before a contract.
- Delivering orders, invoicing and keeping accounts: contract and legal obligation.
- Measuring and improving the website, and keeping it secure: legitimate interests.
- Marketing emails: consent, or legitimate interests for business-to-business contact, with an easy way to opt out in every message.
Cookies and Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on every visit to understand how people find and use the site. It sets cookies and sends data, including your approximate location and device details, to Google, which may process it in the United States under approved safeguards. We do not use it for advertising, and form events record only that a form was sent, not what you wrote. We do not show a cookie banner. To opt out, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or block cookies in your browser. Read more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with suppliers who help us serve you: our hosting and email providers, Google (Analytics), suppliers that help us produce and deliver orders (your name and delivery address), payment and accounting providers, and professional advisers. We may also share data where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months.
- Client, order and invoice records: 6 years, for tax and accounting.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. We respond within one month. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
